Creative Writing Workshop:
"Play, Practice, Poetry!”
Saturday, April 12th from 6pm-8pm
This workshop aims to make poetry as fun and accessible to as many people as possible by removing any limiting beliefs about what poetry is and who can create it.
Join Leah Elliott Hamilton, spoken word poet and author of As If by Magic on a journey to cultivate presence, attention, and connection with language and with the world we belong to. Bring a pen and notebook, but be prepared to get out of your seat and engage beyond the written page.

Live Poetry Showcase

The Art Place is excited to host a poetry showcase featuring Leah Elliott Hamilton, Hannah Combs, Mark Archibald, our friends from Appalachian Echoes for an exciting evening.
This event is free to the public (donations appreciated).
Classes with Crystal from The Purple Crow Studio
Tuesday, April 8th from 6pm-8pm
Crystal has designed these fun paint parties to be beginner friendly and breaks things down to help you execute her stunning 11x14 ideas. These classes are $35 per person. Pre-registration is required.

Paint Pouring Workshop
Friday, April 18th from 6pm-8pm
Join Siera’s Art World at the Art Place for a paint pouring workshop that will be taking place on April 18th from 6pm-8pm. Spaces are limited. Spots are $35 each. You will have the choice between two designs to create. All materials will be provided and all ages welcome! Pieces created on 12×12 canvases.

Classes with Kaloni - Littles
Tuesdays from 4pm-6pm & Sundays 5pm-7pm
This class is now open to children ages 6 to 11 with a big love for making art. They work with various materials and techniques to find their own creative voices. This class is $15 per 2-hour session or $50 a month for those who wish to come every week. To reserve your child’s spot, please register online via this website. Thursdays from 5:30pm-7:30pm
This class is open to children ages 10 to 15 who truly enjoy art. Kaloni strives to help these children broaden their creative abilities and to develop their individual style. The Henderson Jammers

Live local music played in the main gallery each month. They welcome other pickers and players to join in on the fun. This event is free and open to the public. Donations to The Art Place are always welcome.
Aspiring Artists - ALL Ages
Every Saturday from 2pm-4pm
This class is open to all ages with any type of skill level. In this class, the participants will get to choose their own materials and subject matter.
